Despite a forcast of 5mph winds Draycote was pretty windy today. Des had turned up with the full range of demo Bic boards and North sails and somebody else with Mistral and gaastra kit.
I took out the big Screamer first and a 8.5 sail, going out was good but the wind picked up coming back in and I was totally overpowered. Next I tried to get 6mtr but all were on the water so I got a 7 and a 117 ltr Screamer. Anybody after a board of that literage I would highly recomend, it was fast, comfortable and carved really well.
Later the wind dropped and i came in for a bigger Board and sail, by this time most were out, so I was left with a Techno E large 135ltr and a 9.8 sail which was about a mtr and a half too big for the board, I still had some fun on it but had some difficulty keepy up wind with the 38 fin.
To end the day a thunder storm closed the water and we all stood under the demo canopy to shelter from the heavy rain and watch the impressive lightening show.
